The volume of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Seychelles has reached its highest level for any quarter of the year since 2016. The first quarter of 2022 was indeed the most successful with $35 million recorded by the Seychelles Investment Board.
The FDI result for the first quarter of 2022 is up by 26% compared to the same period in 2021, despite the economic consequences of the pandemic in 2020. This Indian Ocean archipelago seems to be moving away from economic difficulties, especially as the European Union has removed it from the black list of tax havens in 2021.
