After seducing a good number of vegan industry veterans, Veggie Victory, a vegan start-up has attracted European and American venture capital investors into its net. The start-up has announced that it has completed a pre-seed cycle, for an undisclosed amount, with these foreign investors. Its ambition is to become Africa’s leading brand of more affordable, healthier and more sustainable plant products.
Indeed, investors rushed to this 100% plant-based food technology start-up based in Lagos. Sustainable Food Ventures (SFV), the first fund dedicated to alternative proteins, the vegan venture capital firm Capital V, the Swedish vegan investor Kale United and Thrive Worldwide, a company investing in food technology, crypto-money and decentralized financial solutions, clean energy and health therapies have all participated in its financing.
This capital will be used to continue its expansion and launch new meat offerings based on vegetable products, particularly vegan dried beef.
It should be noted that VeggieVictory is Nigeria’s leading plant-based food technology company. It seeks to bring a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle through plant-based meats and meals.
